Der aus Palermo stammende Fabio Biondi begann seine internationale Laufbahn im Alter von 12 Jahren als Solist des RAI Symphonie-Orchesters. Bald darauf schlug er den Weg der Barockmusik ein und konzertiert seitdem u.a. mit dem dem Seminario Musicale, der Chapelle Royale, der Musica Antiqua Wien und den Musiciens du Louvre. 1990 gründete er das inzwischen weltweit bekannte Ensemble Europa Galante. Seit März 2005 leitet er die Barcokkonzerte des Stavanger Symphony Orchestras. Fabio Biondi spielt auf Instrumenten von Andrea Guarneri (1686) und Carlo Ferdinando Gagliano (1766).
Fabio Biondi from Palermo began his international career at the age of twelve as a soloist with the RAI symphony orchestra. Shortly afterwards he took the route of Baroque music, and since then has performed with, among others, Seminario Musicale, La Chapelle Royale, Musica Antiqua Wien and the Musiciens du Louvre. In 1990 he founded the now internationally known ensemble Europa Galante. Since 2005, he has conducted the Baroque music concerts by the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Fabio Biondi plays on violins by Andrea Guarneri (1686) and Carlo Ferdinando Gagliano (1766).
